Pocket Watch: Antique 1920s Record Stem Winding Pocket Watch

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, with 15-jewels, two adjustments, which is working nicely. The movement is signed for the Record Watch Company and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. Swiss movements were often imported to be cased and prepared for wholesale in the UK, thus avoiding import tax on precious metals. The case has light surface and a couple of small "dings" to the outer edge of the back but overall it is in good condition for a 1920s piece. The inside of the hinged case back has the name of a previous owner scratched into it. The glass lens is in nice condition (some reflection showing in the photos). The dial has an old repair at 11 o'clock although hardly noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition. Original blued steel hands. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
