The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is signed with the Doxa name, and it has details of medals won in Milan in 1900 and event participation in Liege, Belgium in 1905. There is some scratching to this inner cover.
The watch is larger than a standard 50mm watch, measuring 68mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and is signed Doxa inside the case back. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, some fairly gentle unevenness to the hinged case back.
The glass lens has general marking across the main face.
The dial is signed Anti Magnetique, Doxa. There are a couple of old repairs on numbers 2 and 8. Lovely original ornate pin-set hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us regarding international shipping costs. Some countries do not allow the importation of antiques / watches / precious metals. Please contact us prior to placing an order if you are unsure about your country and we can check this for you. The international buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
All of our watches are checked over before listing and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
