Description
The watch has a grade 294 seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 13,144,500 which dates it back to 1908.
The watch measures 57mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so larger than a standard 50mm watch. The case is stamped as being silveroid, an alloy often used in watch cases around this time and it came under various names such as Silverore and Silverine. The case design is quite unusual in that the screw-on case back and opening to access the movement is quite a lot smaller than the case. The case is in lovely condition.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in very nice condition too with blued steel hands, sunken subsidiary seconds dial and both Arabic and Roman numerals.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
