Pocket Watch : Antique Elgin Pocket Watch, 1917

The watch has a grade 303 seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 19,923,883 which dates it back to 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 45mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking but overall it is in nice condition for such an early piece. The movement and case are not original to each other but both from the same era. The acrylic lens is in good condition. The signed dial has several faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable to the naked eye. Original blued blued steel hands. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
