Pocket Watch : Antique Omega Pocket Watch

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, signed with the early Omega logo, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the New York case maker Fahys. Joseph Fahys & Co was founded in 1857 by Joseph Fahys, a French emigrant. Fahys supplied Omega with cases at the beginning of the 20th Century. The front and side of the case are in good condition, the hinged case back has a few little marks and some fairly gentle unevenness. The acrylic lens is in good condition (some white reflection showing in the photo). The dial has two very faint hairlines starting at number 11, although quite difficult to see with the naked eye.
