The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a good quality grade 387 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has screw-set jewels, a patent Moseley regulator and nicely patterned plates. It is fully signed and has the serial number 16,531,742 which dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1927, with a case maker’s mark for the English case maker Aaron Dennison.
The movement and case are not original to each other.
The watch glass is in good condition, just a few minor marks, nothing serious at all.
The signed double sunk dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers with red numerals.
