Antique silver Revue half hunter pocket watch for J W Benson.
The watch has a good quality Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as by Revue, which is working nicely. The movement has screw-set jewels, gilded plates and Breguet hairspring. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers, Birmingham 1929 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, manufacturer and supplier of cases to various watch makers. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, some small marks to the back of the watch.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
