Pocket Watch Chain 12ct Rose Rolled Gold Antique 1920s Double Albert With T Bar

Gentleman's large and extremely impressive 12ct (professionally tested) rose rolled gold (stamped, has a lovely rich pink 'blush' and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), traditional graduated curb link Antique German pocket watch chain / double Albert (by Friedrich Speidel) with original stamped T bar and original matching stamped swivel dog clips. C~1920's. Rare now days to find one complete with all its original fittings and they have usually been re-made into Ladies bracelets. Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Measures; 39.5cm / 15 1/2" total length and weighs a hefty 48.6 grams. Bright crisp traditional graduated very chunky curb links (measures 9mm to centre and taper down each length of the chain to 6mm width) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. Original T bar to centre (measures 3.5cm length) which is clearly stamped; SP BEST ROLLED GOLD (Friedrich Speidel, Pforzheim, Germany - one of the leading jewellery manufacturers of the era, Est 1868 - 1937). Original large matching secure swivel dog clip to each end (both operate correctly) which are again clearly stamped (within a recessed, diamond shaped cartouche) with the makers initials; S.P. Also has a big circular link just below the T bar - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired. Excellent bright clean condition with just a little bit of light overall wear/patina and fine little surface scratches commensurate with age.
