Pocket Watch Chain 1890s Antique 10ct Rolled Gold Victorian Albert with T Bar & Slide

Victorian Gentleman's absolutely magnificent and highly impressive 10ct (professionally tested) rose & yellow rolled gold (has a lovely rich pink hue and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), traditional chunky curb link Antique pocket watch chain / German Albert with large stamped dog clips, stamped swivel T bar and big ornate engine turned slide. Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 32.5cm / 12 3/4" total length and weighs a heavy 37.9 grams. Bright crisp chunky traditional yellow rolled gold curb links (measure 6mm width) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. Each end of the chain is beautifully finished off with an attractive fancy shaped yellow rolled gold 'tulip' mount carrying an engine turned chevron decoration to both sides. To centre is a big fancy oval shaped yellow rolled gold slide link (measures 1.5cm length x 1.1cm width and 6mm depth) which moves correctly up and down the entire length of the chain and once in position sits snugly as it should. Adorned to one side of the slide with an elaborate engine turned 'starburst' pattern to centre with the opposite side having an un-engraved shield shaped cartouche to centre set upon an engine turned background. Robust and well made rose rolled gold near matching dog clip to each end (both operate correctly) and one is clearly stamped; Rg (rolled gold). Large rose rolled gold swivel T bar (measures 3.9cm length) which is securely attached to the slide and is again stamped; Rolled Gold and carries the makers initials; S.P&S (Friedrich Speidel & Sons, Pforzheim, Germany) and has their little Trade symbol of a star within a triangle. Excellent bright clean condition with no damage and just a bit of light overall wear/ patina and little surface scratches commensurate with age.
