Pocket Watch Chain 18ct Gold Filled Victorian Fancy American Albert Dated 1872

Victorian Gentleman's highly impressive 18ct (professionally tested) bright yellow gold filled (known in the U.K as rolled gold), very fancy 'daisy' link Antique (American) pocket watch chain / Albert with big original stamped T bar and dog clip. Dated; 1872. Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Measures; 34.5cm / 131/2" total length and weighs a very respectable 18.9 grams. Highly unusual crisp and bright octagonal 'daisy' links (measure 5mm width) which have an attractive engine turned 'pie crust' decoration to centre (same to both sides) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. Large original T bar to one end (measures 4.3cm length) which is clearly stamped to one side with the makers initials; OMD - Oscar Mann Draper (Est 1862 - 1890, Attleboro, Massachusetts, U.S.A) and (now) faintly stamped to the opposite side; PAT. FEB.20.1872 (patented 20th February 1872). Robust and well made secure dog clip to the opposite end which operates correctly. Excellent bright clean condition with just a bit of overall wear/patina (mainly to the T bar) and light surface scratches commensurate with age.
