Pocket Watch Chain 9ct Rose Rolled Gold 1920s Fancy Albert & Sliding Bolt Ring

Gentleman's highly unusual and extremely impressive 9ct (professionally tested) rose rolled gold (has a lovely soft pink 'blush' and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), long fancy link Antique pocket watch chain / Albert (by Andreas Daub, Germany) with original dog clips and original sliding bolt ring. C~1920's. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 45.5cm / 17 3/4" total length and weighs a respectable 13.6 grams. Bright crisp traditional curb links which are interspersed by two very fancy Art Deco engine turned links (same adornment to each side) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. Robust and well made original matching secure dog clip to each end (note the attractive engine turned collars) which operate correctly and are interesting in that one is slightly smaller than the other (was designed to hold a fob, vesta case or similar and the larger one to fit over your pocket watch bow). The oval link near to the larger dog clip is clearly stamped to one side (in slightly raised, arched script); AM DOUBLE A*D (Andreas Daub, Pforzheim, Germany, one of the leading jewellery manufacturers of the era, Est 1872). Original feature sliding large bolt ring (measures 2.1cm diameter) which moves up and down the chain on its oval slider link, correctly being stopped by the two fancy links thus keeping it in a central position. Also has a round link just below the T bar - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired. Excellent bright clean condition with no damage and just a little bit of very light overall wear / patina and fine surface scratches commensurate with age.
