Pocket Watch Chain Fob 1905 Antique From The Copper Of Nelsons Ship Victory

Edwardian Gentleman's original Antique pocket watch chain fob made from the copper used originally in Nelson's warship H.M.S Victory. Dated 1905 (the Admiralty released salvaged copper in this year from HMS Victory to allow the creation of commemorative medals and tokens). Measures; 3.7cm height (including the top ring), 3.4cm wide and weighs a respectable 4.8 grams. Wonderful and highly ornate shield shaped fob which depicts in great detail to the front the famous tall masted warship HMS 'Victory' and is clearly stamped in slightly raised script to base; VICTORY 1905. The back is beautifully stamped in slightly raised, arched script; BRITISH AND FOREIGN SAILORS SOCIETY COPPER FROM NELSON'S SHIPS E.R.V11 Original copper top ring. Superb clean, crisp condition with just a tiny bit of extremely light overall patina and little surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
