Pocket Watch Chain Fob Faux Guinea 1890s Large Brass King George Fob

Victorian Gentleman's very large golden brass and gilt King George 1V faux Guinea coin fob for a pocket watch chain. C ~ 1890's (dated 1823 - these faux Guinea coins were used by the Victorians as gaming counters). Similar to the fob I supplied to Pinewood Studios. Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph. Measures; 5.9cm height (including the top ring), 2.8cm width and weighs a respectable 9.3 grams. Wonderful fancy scroll work gilt mount with an elaborate engine turned bail holding a faux Sovereign coin which depicts King George 1V to the front and around him is stamped in slightly raised script; Georgius 1111 D:G: Britanniar: Rex F:D: The back depicts (slightly rubbed) Saint George slaying the Dragon and is dated to base; 1823 with the word; Gilt to top. Large robust secure brass top ring. Superb clean and bright condition with just a bit of overall wear / patina / little surface scratches commensurate with age.
