Description
Victorian Gentleman's large, chunky and very highly detailed St Christopher brass shield fob (with eagle to top) for a pocket watch chain. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 4.9cm height (including the top ring), 3.1cm width and weighs a heavy 12.2 grams. Wonderful highly detailed shield shaped fob (reflects the light beautifully) which is adorned to the front with elaborate fancy scrollwork featuring a slightly raised image of St Christopher to centre and a left facing eagle to the top (suspect German manufacture). The back is smooth, highly polished and free from any inscriptions or initials. Big robust and very secure brass top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage and just a little bit of very light overall patina / fine surface scratches commensurate with age. Will arrive in a new velvet presentation pouch and be very securely and safely packed. UK - FREE! ROYAL MAIL 1st CLASS SIGNED FOR DELIVERY
