Description
Edwardian Gentleman's Sterling silver (fully hallmarked) pocket watch chain large Scottish shield fob. C~1909. Measures; 4.9cm height (including the top ring), 3.3cm width and weighs a very respectable 8.4 grams. Wonderful shield shaped fob which is beautifully adorned to the front with a big Scottish rampant lion to centre (has an impressive flowing mane) surrounded by four detailed Scottish thistles. The back is smooth, highly polished, free from any inscriptions or initials and is clearly hallmarked to base (within different shaped, recessed cartouches) with the Lion passant (Sterling Silver), three ears of corn (Chester assay) and uppercase fancy letter; G - dating to 1909. Also carries the makers initials (slightly rubbed with the passage of time); J&RS. Robust big steel top ring to attach to a pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage or indentations and just a few light and fine little overall surface scratches commensurate with age Will arrive in a new velvet presentation pouch and be very securely and safely packed. *** WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE *** UK - FREE!
