Pocket Watch Chain Fob Victorian Rose Gilt Beehive & Honey Agate 1890s Antique

Victorian Gentleman's very unusual chunky rose gilt 'bee hive' fob set with a honey agate stone for a pocket watch chain. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.1cm height (including the top ring), 2.4cm wide, 9mm depth and weighs a respectable 6.6 grams. Highly ornate rose gilt mount features two crossed hive tools to top and a honey comb design around (same to both sides). The front has a most interesting raised silver (foiled) Victorian bee hive decoration to centre surrounded by flowers and leaves which is securely encapsulated behind the original domed glass (not acrylic). Fabulous bevel edge honey agate stone to back (measures 1.7cm diameter) which captures rich warm golden tones with natural darker brown inclusions. Original rolled gold top ring to attach to an Apiarist's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with just a little (micro) bit of very light overall wear/ patina and fine surface scratches commensurate with age.
