Pocket Watch Chain Pillbox Fob 1920s Large Silver Nickel & Agate Opening Fob

Gentleman's very unusual antique bright silver nickel and banded agate opening pill or stamp box pocket watch chain fob. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 4.5cm height (including the top ring), 2.7cm square, 1.4cm depth and weighs a very respectable 13.5 grams. Wonderful chunky highly polished (mirror finish) silver nickel cube fob which is adorned to lid and base with the most attractive banded agate specimen slices containing the colours of deep Cardinal red, white and opaque/grey - they reflect the light beautifully. Opens up correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click (hinge is true and firm) and would be useful to carry pills/stamps/photographs or similar. Robust large steel top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage or indentations and just a tiny (micro) bit of overall wear / patina showing under eyeglass commensurate with age.
