Pocket Watch Chain Religious Fob 1920s 'to Work Is To Pray' Antique Copper Fob

Antique religious Church of England "To Work is to Pray" large copper 'Working Men's Society' fob for a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 5.2cm height (including the top ring), 3.4cm width, 3mm depth and weighs a heavy 22.9 grams. Wonderful large oval shaped fob depicting to the front a highly detailed, slightly raised image of three Apostle's to centre (all labouring over what looks to be a printing press) with a slightly concave engine turned big shell decoration above and is beautifully stamped around the chamfered circumference; Laborare . Est . Orare., (Latin - To Work Is To Pray). The back carries a slightly raised large flaming crucifix to centre and is stamped around the chamfered circumference; Church . Of . England . Working Mens . Society. Robust and secure original brass top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage or wear and just a little bit of very light overall patina / fine little surface scratches (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
