Pocket Watch Chain Whistle Fob British Rail (M) 1920s Acme Thunderer FWO

Gentleman's original large and chunky British Rail (Midland) Acme 'Thunderer' escargot whistle Antique pocket watch chain fob in full working order. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 6.7cm length (including the end ring), 2.2cm width, 2.7cm height and weighs a heavy 39.4 grams. Escargot shaped chunky brass plated whistle which is clearly stamped to the front in raised arched script; THE ACME THUNDERER MADE IN ENGLAND. Stamped to one side; B.R. (M) - British Rail (Midland). The noise of the whistle is very loud and shrill with the internal cork ball still beautifully preserved. Big robust and secure steel top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean (fully sanitised) and bright condition with no damage and just a fair bit of overall patina / wear / small surface scratches commensurate with age (imagine this has sent many trains safely on their way over the years).
