Pocket Watch : Silver J W Benson Cyma Pocket Watch, 1937

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, identified as by Cyma, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name J W Benson. Benson manufactured their own movements up until 1914 but following a bombing raid of their factory at Belle Sauvage Yard, the company started purchasing their movements from high quality Swiss movement manufacturers. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1937, with a maker’s mark for J W Benson. The case is in good condition, just three small minor indentations to the back, not too serious at all. The glass lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in very nice condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
