Retaining its original figured marble top, the table displays the exceptional craftsmanship and design for which Lamb was celebrated. The frieze features a run of decorative buttons and fine detail, while the bold side supports are enriched with scrolls, and applied gilded mounts, all typical of Lamb’s high-style furniture. The base is further accentuated with moulded edging and carved detail, ending on platform feet for stability. A striking and robust piece of mid-19th century furniture, combining practicality with statement design, and ideal for a hall, drawing room, or reception space.
