Poole Ginger Jar Blue Bird PB Pattern

Beautiful early 1930s Poole pottery ginger jar, shape 630, decorated in the iconic blue bird 'PB' pattern designed by Truda Adams, and made between 1934 -1935 in Poole, England. Underneath the the impressed makers mark for Poole England, artist signature of Winifred Collett who worked for Poole Pottery between 1922-35, alongside its shape and pattern codes. It comes with an associated lid from the same period and with similar pattern to original, however this one shows a different pattern code underneath alongside the signature of artist Marian Heath 1925-38. Antique item in fair condition, the lid is associated, not the original lid, and it has some nicks under the rim, the wicker handle is in good condition, the jar has wear to the rim, some crazing particularly noticeable on the lid and at the base of jar which also has a few small discrete nibbles around the edges, general superficial blemishes and wear commensurate with age, no cracks nor any repairs, please check detailed photos provided as they form part of item's description.
