Description
A very lovely pair of 18th Century (1770) silver sugar tongs with bright cut engraved feathered edges and circular bowls decorated with sinuous lines. The bridge has an impressed and engraved stylised foliate design framing a small cartouche engraved with the initials of the original owner. Partial hallmarks only, the lion passant and initials P.B for Philip Batchelor.
