An Edwardian Art Nouveau tortoiseshell and silver pique inlay silver vanity or trinket box by Levi and Salaman and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1906. The tortoiseshell is a lovely colour with a nice brightness with a superbly crafted silver inlay. There are natural colour differences as this is a natural material. The round silver box is in good condition and its inside is beautifully gilded to protect it from the cosmetics. It has a push-on lid. The side of the box has the word Ruth engraved into it.
