"Quality is Not an Act...It's a Habit" (Aristotle c300BC) - Based on the rural Staffordshire / Warwickshire border, (north-east of The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield), we are a passionate and established dealership business, underpinned by decades of specialist knowledge and expertise in the antiques, vintage and retro space. We offer a significant range of uniquely rare, scarce and interesting high-quality artifacts and items for investment, from our modern and spacious display / sales outlet, along with a number of established online global sales platforms (such as this one). We also have 'Man Cave' and 'Lady Lounge' areas, to help engage the senses and heighten the curiosity! - In addition, (via our well-established courier business owned by one of our shareholder partners), we are also able to professionally ship and export our sold goods throughout the UK and all over the world at highly competitive rates and personal one-to-one service. (The courier business also holds expertise in house / family estate clearances, should this be of interest). - Overarching these fine business credentials, is the pride and dedication we hold for offering outstanding (and measurable) customer service and related practical advice to all our valued customers and clients! ...And now, its "TIME TO ADMIRE."

Description
A quality English made open-faced silver fusee pocket watch named the “Improved Patent” model, (as seen on the watch’s dial). The watch would have been almost certainly made specifically for the railway sector due to its composition. • Silver hallmarked Chester 1896. • White enamelled dial, and subsidiary second’s dial with bold hand-painted black Roman numerals. • Gold main hands. • Engraved Coventry ‘Star’ mark on the regulator scale, (the endorsement of exceptional engineering quality!) • Compensated balance with ruby end stone. • Case maker was Jesse Hallam (“J.H”), of Hertford Place, Coventry. • Case and movement serial numbers the same: “15897.” • Dust cap numbered: “897.” • Comes with a winding key, together with instructions on how to wind and set the watch time. Note: This watch does not come with a chain or fob. If you require a silver chain/fob from our large stock, please contact us for advice.
