Queen Anne Style Set of 8 Carved Mahogany Dining Chairs + Carvers by Waring & Gillow - Edwardian c.1905

Waring & Gillows labelled, "By Appointment to The King", set of eight upholstered, mahogany framed, dining chairs, circa 1905. The set consists of 6 chairs and 2 carver armchairs. These chairs in Queen Anne / George I style, constructed from solid, high quality mahogany, feature a solid vasiform splat back. Drop in seats covered in pale duck egg blue and gold coloured damask. The carver with open, shaped arms with scroll terminals. Raised on cabriole front legs with carved shell knees, with squared splayed rear legs, all supported by turned H-stretchers. Each chair complete with its original brass tablet shaped label, Waring & Gillows, by appointment to the king. A very high quality set of handsome chairs. In very good condition. Cleaned, waxed and reupholstered, and now very much ready for use.
