Rare 19th Century English Caneware Stag Hunt Tobacco Jar

This item is a rare 19th century English caneware tobacco jar depicting a stag hunt. It was created approximately between 1840 and 1870. The jar is made from an unglazed earthenware with relief moulded figures a man with a gun and his hunting dog , and a stag being chased through the forest by dogs the lid has applied acanthus leaf decoration there are two chips to the rim of the body and a tiny hairline the lid has a chip on the rim and a flake on the underside that has been reattached it has impressed mark to the base.
