Rare 19th Century Sussex Style Two Seater Chair Seat

Splendidly original late 19th Century rush seated 2 seater. A rare find indeed and surviving in the kind of condition seldom seen, so attractive. A really lovely piece of English furniture untouched, just letting time take its toll… We have the original finish to the frame with lots of genuine gentle wear, fascinating bubbling up of paintwork and all in the right places. All the important spindles to both the back and arms are in situ and the original rush seat again in situ, we do have loss in parts to the rushes underneath but rest assured its perfectly fine to park one's bum on and enjoy the experience. No movement or repairs to the frame and arms as well as no wobbles. Our base is a large Victorian 2 storey red brick barn on a wonderful traditionally run country estate in Staffordshire. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item.
