This is a Rare Absolutely Stunning Georgian Solid Silver & Shagreen Etui Case, this i believe was c1760s making it around 260 years old, this is a Rare chance to own a Unique and Quality Georgian Silver and Shagreen Etui Case, it isnt Hallmarked as most were not in the Georgian Period, but it does test for Solid Silver, the Raised Lid has a Lovely Solid Silver Finish, and the neck of the Base and bottom of the Lid are also Solid Silver, the Base is Finished with Solid Silver too, the Dark green Shagreen has a lovely look and in the Sun it shows its Beautiful detail, there is a Silver Push Button to the side that opens and closes the Lid with a nice clicking sound, the Hinge is in Excellent condition, when the Lid is opened it reveals the with Various Instruments inside all fitted inside the Solid Silver Compartment, including a Pair of Scissors although broken, A Silver Spoon, a Ruler or Necessaire, 2 letter openers and Screw Driver that have a extension to connect to, and a Dip Pen, there are a couple of compartments missing there instruments. The Green Shagreen on the Etui Case is in lovely condition with just light marks and there are no dings on the Silver, there is just light Patina from the long History of this Georgian Solid Silver and Green Shagreen Etui Case, this would have been used in the Georgian Period when times were changing very quickly. This would have been owned by a Wealthy Person in the Georgian Period and is Unique and very special, and this would add something special to any collection.
