Rare Antique Speed Skates, Ice Skating, Fen

A marvellous and rare pair of Antique speed skates or fen skates. Made in England by James Howarth, this pair produced by a renowned manufacturer of speed skates not only have the Howarth brand but also are marked with the broad arrow mark, for the British military, WW1 era. They are tough and solid with leather straps and strong steel blades, the branding etched into the blades and the original heel screw. It is increasingly difficult to source these older skates as a pair and even more of a rare find with the broad arrow mark.
