Description
A rare pocket sized silver cased tape measure of excellent quality, dating from the reign of George V and assayed at the sought after Chester Office. The casing is elegantly understated, free from engraving and very tactile. The tape pivots on a central pin and is of sprung steel. It works via a ratchet system and once pulled will remain extended until the release button on the top is actioned. On pressing the release button, the tape can be retracted back into the body.
The tape itself is 99cm / 36 inches in length and is printed with both imperial and metric measurements. A superb and very desirable item, still useable today.
