Rare First Period Worcester Porcelain Rubber Tree Plant Dessert Dish
A fine first period Worcester porcelain dessert dish of lozenge shape painted with the very striking Rubber Tree Plant pattern, c.1775. The reverse of this dish has a decoration that is specific to this pattern with decorative branches and pseudo Chinese marks.
Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.47, classed as "uncommon".
