Description
A rare opportunity to acquire a fantastic set of four original French mahogany Louis xvi style open arm salon or armchairs. Very good quality set and beautifully made, very elegant swept arms, spiral fluting and turned, tapered legs, finished with pomegranate finials. The set of chairs are in good condition, some signs of age of course, but all with solid frames, comfortable seats and fantastic style. The current upholstery is 'vintage' and they would benefit from being reupholstered. They are priced in the current upholstery, which is actually in pretty good condition, not torn etc, but is a bit dusty! The frames are fantastic, the beaded carving throughout really set the chairs apart from the more average, a very elegant and useable, sturdy set of chairs. I can assist with the re upholstery process if required, please get in touch. I can offer the chairs in pairs if you don't have room for the four.
