An extremely rare early George V silver vesta. This superior example is of rectangular form with rounded corners and a gently curved body, giving a pleasing tactile feel. To the front is a charming period engraved figure of a man golfing. There is an attaching ring to the side for a fob chain or chatelaine.
With a quantity of 'made up' themed vestas in circulation (examples with added panels or modern alterations to enhance interest and value), an original piece is a good find. A most interesting and unsual example and a great collector's piece.
