Description
A pair of Regency period, mahogany elbow chairs or carvers, circa 1820. This pair features attractively figured timbers with curved top rails, over a double plain slat. Drop-in upholstered seats, covered in a quality woven Regency stripe fabric in green, beige and cream. Curved open arms, with ring turned supports extended through to the ring turned front legs, with curved rear legs.
A quality pair of attractive elbow chairs, in a good condition, sympathetically re-upholstered with period appropriate cloth fabric. Very well presented and ready for use.

These elbow chairs measure approximately 87 cm (34.25") tall, 55 cm (21.625") wide, and 56.5 cm (22.25") deep. The seat height is approximately 49 cm (19.25").

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and signs of age related wear on the frames. Little wear the top edges of the bar backs. No loose joints. A few sympathetic, quality running repairs. Recently re-upholstered in period appropriate cloth fabric, there are a couple of very small marks at the back of the set on one of the chairs, but they are very small. These chairs have been through the workshop and have been carefully serviced, sensitively cleaned and waxed and are now very much ready to be used. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
