This handsome clock in a flame mahogany case with moulded scroll details has a 13" circular dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, showing the makers name of John Walker, 1 South Molton Street, London and the number 20545. The eight day fusee movement with dead beat escapement is fine quality and the clock is in excellent working order, keeping very good time.
John Walker were a family business, best known for supplying and servicing timepieces to the principal railway companies of the day and this clock will probably have served as a platform clock.
