A porcelain cream jug from the Ridgway factory in Stoke on Trent, produced between 1815 and 1820. It is decorated with a gilt border of continuous stylised leaves and flowers beneath a further band of gilt leaves and buds. The decoration applied to Ridgway's version of the London pattern. The base bears the hand-written, fractional pattern number, 2 / 232, in red.
The cream jug stands 4 inches high and measures 5 1/4 inches from spout to handle.

This piece is in excellent, original, sound condition with no wear to the decoration.
