Wonderful early 19th century sprigged jug with gold accents, a lilac background with white applied decorations including serpent head spout running around to its tail shaped handle, a couple of Cipriani drawings inspired scenes around the body, namely ''Virtue directed by Prudence to Honor' and 'Innocence taught by Love and Friendship' and, a lower ribbed band, unmarked, attributed to Ridgway, Cauldon place.
In good antique condition with expected age related wear, light surface blemishes, minor losses to gilt, a crack to base underneath most likely from manufacture, all commensurate with its age, no other issue noticed, please refer to detailed photos provided.
Approximately 13cm tall with a maximum diameter of 14.5cm, and weighs 600g.
