Original Blue John 925 silver (not hallmarked but has been professionally XRF tested) ring. Blue John is a variety of fluorite found exclusively in the Blue John and Treak Cliff Caverns, Castleton, Derbyshire, England. Recognisable by the purple, blue, yellow and white banding. C ~ 1950's - 1960's. Size; UK - U USA - 10 Weight; 3.6 grams. The cabochon cut Blue John stone measures; 1.4cm x 1cm. Good condition with some overall patina and surface scratches to the stone commensurate with age.
