Ring Sterling Silver 'Robsons Test' 1940s Salesman's Sample

Highly unusual Sterling silver (stamped) 'Robson's Test' band ring. C~1940s. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). These were made by Robson's as a Salesman's sample piece to demonstrate / test ring sizing. Stamped to the front; "ROBSON'S' TEST STERLING SILVER and has the raised numbers 26 and 34 around the band. The little circular shaped buckle detail to centre is stamped in arched script; B.O.C.M. LTD and is set on the largest hole - can be popped open to make the ring smaller to fit although I have not attempted this. Size; UK - U 1/2 USA - 10 1/2 Weight; 3 grams. Width; 7mm. Clean bright condition with no absolutely no wear or damage and just a few very light and fine little surface scratches commensurate with age.
