Rosewood Three Tier Whatnot

This is a mid 19th century rosewood three tier what-not. The what-not is raised on barley-twist supports with finer barley-twist infills to each end. The top of the supports terminate with turned finials. All the turned components are constructed using solid rosewood. The legs terminate in solid brass castors, stamped Collinson patent. (Cope & Collinson were one of the best makers of furniture fittings of the Victorian age). The castors are fitted with leather wheels, to prevent damage to wooden floors. The top of the what-not is fitted with an original green leather writing surface.
