Offered for sale is a toby jug manufactured in Staffordshire by The Roy Kirkham Pottery.
The Toby jug is named "Sailor" and comes from a set of 8 toby jugs after the popular 15th century nursery rhyme Tinker ,Tailor, Soldier, Sailor, Rich man, Poor man , Beggar man, Thief.
Wearing typical maritime garb, bearded with a plait down his back he is seated cross legged on a coil of Rope.
