Sapphire & Diamond Halo Gold Ring Hallmarked 1978 London

This is a truly stunning gold ring. A very clear and bright blue natural Sapphire set within a halo of bright brilliant cut diamonds. All set in white gold, on a 9 carat yellow gold band. The gold has sculpting to its shoulders, depicting flowers and petals. The natural blue sapphire has a carat weight of 0.63ct. There is a 10 point white gold star housing the sapphire. There are 10 diamonds in all circling the sapphire. Fully hallmarked with 5 different stamps. Hallmarked in the London Assay Office in 1978. 🔸 Sapphire cut / Oval brilliant cut with a Vvs Clarity (very very small inclusions) 🔸 Diamonds are round brilliant cut and are of good clarity. 🔸 Crown Hallmark (British Standard) 🔸 Leopard head Hallmark for London Assay Office 🔸 375 Hallmark (gold purity – 9ct) 🔸 Date letter D Hallmark for 1978 🔸 Makers Stamp ‘Psl’ This ring is vintage and used, so you should expect some signs of wear. Despite is being nearly 45 years old, it is in exceptional condition. It looks to be only occasionally worn, if at all. It certainly was not worn daily. ⭐ The natural blue Sapphire measures 6.3mm long / 4.6mm wide / 2.6mm deep. This is a carat weight of 0.63ct ⭐ Sapphire Clarity: Vvs (very very small inclusions) and is both eye & loupe clean. All Sapphires have inclusions but with this stone you would need a microscope to see them. ⭐ Sapphire Colour: Twilight Blue. Tone = 4 (described as Medium Dark), Saturation = 5 (near Vivid). The secondary hue is Blue. ⭐ Diamonds are 1.6mm wide / 1.3mm deep. This is 0.02ct. Diamonds combined weight = 0.2ct Diamonds are round brilliant cut and are of good clarity. ⭐ Band at rear of ring is 1.9mm wide. ⭐ Shoulder width is 6.3mm
