Scottish Antique Late Victorian Sterling Silver & Agates Plaid or Kilt Brooch

This is a late Victorian Scottish plaid or kilt brooch held within a silver frame with lobe or shield shaped agates on a slate backing. 2 moss agate lobes, 2 whiteish banded lobes, 2 dark green and 2 lighter but mottled green lobes, held to a sterling silver frame with finger claws. To the reverse is a later applied silver half moon shape, to conform with the shape of the brooch, which is engraved with initials and dated. "L.M.H to J.H.D--1916". All is good there is no damage to the agate, despite being natural lines in the agate that suggest that there is.
