Scottish Antique Sterling Silver & Coloured Agate Clan Kilt Plaid Brooch

19th Century Scottish sterling silver and coloured agate brooch with jasper, heliotrope and mottled agates all arranged in a Celtic Cross form, with the Cross being in the centre and a outer ring similar to a halo, the exposed silver, to the front, is patterned with thistle's and leaves and knurling to the edges. A handsome little brooch and a typical Scottish item of jewellery, may have been intended as as kilt or plaid brooch. Period; 1870s to 1900. Cleaned but toned and all is good.
