Description
Superb Edinburgh made George III solid figured mahogany cased longcase clock with finely made 8 day striking movement by the renown Edinburgh maker George Monro 1743-1804 having finely engraved sheet steel dial. The elegant case made to the highest standards having lovely shaped top to truck door which is flanked by quarter columns. The hood with fretted panels having dentil cornice surmounted by fine swan neck pediment. The case is in very fine original condition with only slight damage to fretwork in hood. Case is a lovely soft colour with fine waxed patina. The movement has just been fully overhauled and is in perfect working order. Comes with all keys. A very fine example of its kind.
