A Scottish sterling silver toddy ladle Georgian, from the period 1806 to 1819, hall marked in Edinburgh with a thistle, a part makers name and the bust of King George III as the duty mark. The makers mark could be W and a B, though the B would small as in Ward Bros for example. Inscribed to the front of the ladle bowl is the initial "F" in gothic script. Lightly twisted wooden handle, over all length is 7.5 inch or 19 cm, mouth of the bowl is 1.5 inch or 4 cm, it would possibly hold a modern standard measure or maybe a little bit more, the bowl is lightly dinted.
