Description
This is a typical Scottish plaid or kilt brooch of 8 lobes of shaped agate of various colours, fitted together so tightly that at first I thought it was a one piece carving, all held on slate backing and with a heavy silver rim outer and inner rim.
Period; 1860s to the 1890s.
Partially cleaned and all is good.
