Description
Offered for sale is this Scottish provincial silver spoon, oar pattern and made by William Mill of Montrose between 1815 and 1825.
Just short of 5 inches or around 12 cm in length, it is marked to the rear of the handle with a rose, Wm, a rose, the roses have been lightly struck and show wear the WM is deeper and struck more to the left than to the right. Initials to the front of the oar blade shape handle, are "W M W" in script.
It seems to be in good condition though showing very slight signs of wear
