Serpentine Shaped Inlaid Mahogany Writing Table c.1895

Splendid serpentine shaped inlaid mahogany writing table from the late Victorian period, of very good construction in solid mahogany and attractive mahogany veneers. Decorated with inlaid stringing and cross banding in boxwood throughout. The top is fitted with a sumptuous black leather writing surface which is embellished with gilt tooled decoration. There is an arrangement of 3 drawers to the freeze, all fitted with their original solid brass hardware. All standing on tapering legs, united by an under-tier.
